SCOPE OF SERVICES FOR PROJECT FILM CONTENT CREATOR.

Under this Project, the Film creation consultant shall carry out the following tasks:

a)     Create films/videos/documentaries featuring the project activities including the emphasizing on social-economic impacts before and after the project. Also, the voice of the direct beneficiaries and key stakeholders including Ministry of Transport and Roads, Kenya Urban Roads Authority(KURA), Kenya Roads Board (KRB) and Meru County Government.

b)    Conduct film shooting of the project activities including workshops, construction works on site, interview beneficiaries before and after the project.

c)     Networking with media Newspapers, TV and Radio studios for the project to be featured on various national media house in Kenya for publicity and project coverage;

d)    Share the created films/videos/documentaries with the website developer consultant to be posted on the Project website, face book page, twitter and other social media;

e)     Taking part in sensitization of stakeholders on permission rights and clearance for film making and production.

DELIVERABLES/SPECIFIC OUTPUTS EXPECTED FROM THE PROJECT FILM CONTENT CREATOR

Producing a compressive film covering project initiation, execution and impact thereafter.

WORK TERMS

Duration: 1month/year

 Duration: Annual renewable contract

Terms: Part Time

Commencement:  The assignment will start immediately after signing the contract

Duty station and Expected places of travel: Meru County

PROVISION OF MONITORING AND PROGRESS CONTROLS.

Deliverables will be agreed with CORE, a schedule of days worked, outputs produced, and costs incurred will be monitored by CORE and World Bank. Payment will be made against key deliverables. Payments will be authorized by the World Bank and CORE.

REQUIREMENT, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCES.

a)     The Film Content Creator will have the following requirements, qualifications and experience:

b)    The Film Firm should have certificate of incorporation from the registrar of companies in Kenya

c)     Tax compliant and KRA PIN certificate

d)    One of the film firm directors should at least have Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in mass media production & communication, and Film production from recognized university institution.

e)     Minimum of 5 years’ experience in film and mass media production especially on stories affected the vulnerable groups in the society.

f)      Good understanding of community driven projects. 

g)     Initiative and creative in solving problems with strong facilitation and analytical skills

h)    Strong ability to work both independently and in a team.

i)       Experience in managing of Projects with multi – stakeholders engagement;

j)       Good organizing skills, strong communication and interpersonal skills and experience in organizing and facilitating consultations and workshops;
