CORE hosted visitors who witnessed the launch of the LPG kitchen installation and refurbished kitchen at Naromoru Girls High school.

UNDP launched the Accelerated Clean Cooking Action in Kenya (ACCAK) project came to a close on 31st March 2024 with a wonderful closing ceremony held at Moi Girls Isinya, Kajiado County with attendance from Embassy of Japan (EoJ), Ministry of Energy and Petroleum, Kenya Clean Cookstoves Association of Kenya, CORE and media.

Ken Okaniwa, National Assembly Senate Transport Commiittee Chairman Sen, Karungo Thangwa & Wb Staff To Visit Demonstration Site To Witness Do Nou Technology Road Maintenance, They Visited First Year Roads Where 10 Km Of Road Length Was Rehabilitated. WATER PROJECT
CORE & ILO – Dams Construction Year 2022/2023
Enhancing Disaster Resilience Through Employment-Intensive Waterworks in Kebribeyah and Jijiga by ILO. CORE is an implementing partner of the ILO and the Government of Japan with the aim of employment creation through community projects which addresses the vulnerable groups in the community promote economic recovery and disaster resilience through water harvesting and irrigation to the local community. CORE was able to construct 7 dams in Jijjiga, Ethiopia.

CORE-UNDP ENVIRONMENT FLARAK PROJECT- 2022/2023
Forestry and land restoration action for Kenya’s NDC (Flarak) project identifies the urgent need to design sustainable measures to resolve systemic barriers that continue to hinder sustainable tree growing and unmitigated ecosystem and land degradation. CORE was mandated to establish tree nurseries in 20 schools as follows; Kakamega 4 schools, Vihiga 2 schools, Uasin Gishu 3 schools, Elgeyo Marakwet 3 schools, Kajiado 4 schools, and Narok 4 schools.

ACCELERATED CLEAN COOKING ACTION IN KENYA (ACCAK) PROJECT -2023/2024
UNDP launched the Accelerated Clean Cooking Action in Kenya (ACCAK) project on 7th July 2023 at Hotel Radisson Blue,Nairobi with attendance from Stakeholders & Embassy of Japan (EoJ), Ministry of Energy and Petroleum, Japan International Corporation Agency (JICA), Kenya Clean Cookstoves Association of Kenya, CORE and media. The event was a breakfast launch on 7th July 2023. CORE mandate is to support public Institutions’ transition from the use of inefficient biomass stoves to clean cooking fuels and technologies by ensuring transition from firewood cooking in the schools to LPG in 5 counties namely Nairobi, Kitui, Machakos, Nyeri, and Kajiado.

SECOND IMPLEMENTING SUPPORT MISSION (ISM) ON 7-9TH JUNE 2023: Site visit on maintained roads
CORE took the WB team and the Stakeholder to the roads maintained under the first-year phase of the Project where a total of 500 youths were trained on Do nou technology road maintained from 16th January 2023 to March 30th 2023 covering a section of approximately 10km of road. The project was supervised by 20 foremen under the supervision of CORE technicians and Engineers.
