Job Summary

The job seeker shall provide accurate and transparent financial report in timely basis to the Project donor and implementing agency on Project activities. The consultant will assess the capacity of the finance function of the Project; provide finance management of the entire Project duration among the following;

Tasks and Responsibilities,

  1. Establishing and ensuring compliance with processes and controls for secure financial systems, including establishing procedures for properly approved payments/ procurement,
  2.  Supervise the accounting software Project to ensure that the software is installed and goes live in accordance with the approved ToR and the contract, assess the suitability of the software and recommend for improvements,
  3.  Prepare annual and periodic Project budget plans and submit for approval and coordination,
  4.  Maintenance of appropriate financial books and records and Conduct financial management analysis,
  5. Monitoring and ensuring costs are appropriately controlled, and suppliers are paid in a timely manner,
  6. Preparation of periodic financial reports to be submitted to the World Bank as per the financial covenants and Preparation of monthly management accounts and annual financial statements.

 

DEGREE OF EXPERTISE AND QUALIFICATIONS

The consultant will have the following qualifications and experience:

  1. Minimum of a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, Finance option.
  2. A minimum of over 5 years of professional experience in accounting or finance management, 3 years of which should be at a managerial or supervisory level preferably worked with NGO.
  3.  Experiences in developing finance management analysis tools and experience in developing or outstanding skills for web-based software use, particularly accountancy software.
  4.  Good presentation and communication skills; Ease in communicating with colleagues and third parties via email, conference call, and other electronic communication platform
  5. Ability to work under pressure, to meet tight deadlines and have high level of attention and accuracy
  6. Able to plan and organize multiple simultaneous tasks efficiently.
